Network Test Guide: Read Speed, Latency, Jitter and Dropouts Correctly
Download speed is only one part of a useful network check. Latency, jitter and repeated failures often explain video call or game problems better than raw speed. Run tests from the same location, then compare Wi-Fi, mobile data or wired connections when possible.
Interpret more than speed
Open the Network Test and let the run complete. Download speed tells you how much data can arrive over time. Latency tells you how quickly a small request receives a response. Jitter shows whether that response time is steady.
For video calls, remote work and gaming, stable latency often matters more than a high peak download number.
